Author Al Zabone Sponsored at 2019 Banner Lecture

Members of the Council of the Virginia Chapter of the Society of the Colonial Wars (SCWVA) joined author Albert Zambone on May 23, 2019 at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture as sponsors for his appearance at the VMHC Banner Lecture.

Zambone’s recently published biography Daniel Morgan, Virginian was the source for the lecture’s examination of what qualities and experiences defined a Virginian in the Colonial age. The Banner Lecture Series was established and endowed in 2008 in honor of Charles F. Bryan, Jr., who led the Virginia Historical Society for twenty years (1988–2008) as president and to commemorate his retirement after two decades of remarkable leadership. The SCWVA is an annual sponsor of the series.
