Grants in Action: Historic Christ Church Awarded Matching Grant

Warrior and Society Treasurer James F. Russell II, interpreting the Colonial planter, merchant and politician Richard Henry Lee, presented the General Society matching grant check to Historic Christ Church Executive Director Robert Teagle. Historic Christ Church was built by Robert “King” Carter in 1735. There are ongoing efforts to maintain the building, and the Virginia Society is committed to helping with restoration and renovation efforts that will enhance the visitor experience.
