Henricus Historical Park Recipient of 2025 Grants

On July, 23, 2025, Peter L. Henderer, the Lt. Governor of the Virginia Society, and Charles L. Grant, the former Governor of the Virginia Society and a former Deputy Governor General, proudly presented a matching grant from the General Society to the Henricus Foundation at Henricus Historical Park in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Henricus Historical Park is a living history museum providing historical interpretation, reenactments, and educational programs that pay tribute to Virginia’s Native Americans and early English settlers on the location of the Citie of Henricus. Founded in 1611, the Citie of Henricus was the second successful English settlement in Virginia and at its founding marked the western-most frontier of English colonial expansion. The Henricus Foundation is a regular recipient of Society support for carrying out educational programming at the site.
