Interesting that the proposed tour in the Northern Neck does not include Stratford Hall, built by Thomas Lee around 1740 and birthplace of Robert E.
Lee. My wife Beverley Wellford’s ancestral home, Sabine Hall, circa 1736 is still in her family with its some 3000 acres on the Rappahannock River. Landon Carter built the house and entertained George Washington there from time to time. Near Warsaw, Sabine Hall has been opened to the public many times- Garden Week, etc.
Good to see a different focus for the tour.
