The Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Virginia is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) corporation, and gifts to the Society are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. 

To effectively help preserve and commemorate colonial history, the society uses member contributions to enable it to establish tablets and monuments and to make charitable gifts to appropriate organizations dedicated to the preservation of colonial history and / or education about the colonial period.
